Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.
Psalm 29:2
At The Dwelling Place, we believe worship is first and foremost about ministering to the heart of God. God delights in hearing the songs of His people, and throughout Scripture we are repeatedly called to sing, praise, and worship Him. We see worship as our opportunity to respond to this call, proclaim who God is, tell Him we love Him, and welcome Him to be Lord over every part of our lives.
On Sundays, we come together from all walks and seasons of life with a shared desire to worship in spirit and in truth- to exalt the name of Jesus, encounter His presence, refocus our attention off of ourselves and onto His character and nature, and grow in deeper intimacy with Him. We believe this kind of worship extends beyond the context of Sunday mornings. It leads to lives marked by obedience, surrender, and personal intimacy with Jesus throughout the week.
